In addition to the routine maintenance of machinery and equipment, the main points for the maintenance of FRP boats are as follows.

3., when not in use, especially in winter season, should be placed ashore. Because of the water absorption of glass fiber reinforced plastics, water can gradually seep into the interior along the micro channel of glass fiber and resin interface, and gradually reduce the strength of glass fiber reinforced plastic. Especially in winter, the infiltrated water freezes and freezes, which causes the seepage channel to expand and endanger more. Therefore, every winter, when boats are not used, they should leave the water and put on the shore, so that the infiltration water will evaporate and the strength can be gradually restored. This will extend the service life of the ship. After the boat ashore, should be washed first, put a good cushion to put right, preferably indoors, such as placed outdoors, covered with tarpaulin, and often ventilated, to prevent moisture.
